USA (III) - CA, San Francisco (SF)

haiiiii allll. *waves* i know im a very slow-like-a-tortoise blogger, and part (iii) of my usa trip is finally up! resizing pics and uploading pics's a bitch mann. anyone knows of any software i can use to resize pic at a faster rate? =S

anyhow. so after a week or so in madison, we were finally gonna embark on our HOLIDAY road-trip :D cause spencer had work when we were in madison so it wasn't exactly considered a holiday for him, at least.

on the day we were about to leave the house for the coach, spencer was punished to wash the dishes.
okay, no. i was joking. hahaha. he's just being mr nice by washing up whatever we used.

just before we left, i decided to snap a few shots of his place: (very messy tho.)
living room.
kitchen
rooms
and more rooms. its very messy in the above pics, but when i came back after 2 weeks, the house was super duper neat. very impressed O.O
i don't know why there's like 4 eggs there. hahaha. in any case, their house is kinda scary to live in. why? bcos food always goes missing in the fridge. let me explain, spencer labeled his eggs (1-18) and we took 2 to cook? so 1 and 2 were 'gone'. but when we next take out the egg tray, number 13 was gone??
i believe there's an in-house food thief? tsktsk. and half of our cabbage was eaten/gone when we didn't even touch it. how can?? -shakes head-
why so many coins ? hahaha. its all spencer's 'savings'. their money domain for coins's kinda weird. they have like quarter dollar? which is 0.25 cents? in sg we'll give one 20 cent coin + one 5 cent coin yes? they use ONE coin for 25 cents/quarter dollar. americans... die die must be different only. huai needa be so cheem .

that's not the point anw (oops =P ) , the coins were really impt!! bcos we needed it for things like using the washing machine / dryer/ parking. haha. good thing we took many many quarter dollars before leaving for SF.

so at ard 2pm we headed off to take a coach down to Milwaukee, cause we were flying from there.
we had a great adventure, walking from the airport to the hotel. why? we thought the hotel was 300m away from the airport as stated on its web. but turned out that it wasn't the airport we were at. -.-
so we ended up walking 2-3km? lugging our luggages!?!?! almost died. but i take solace in the fact that at least the weather isn't like in sg. its more of like 14-16 degrees? so even with the sun, it wasn't THAT bad. actually, come to think of it. i miss US a lot. :c

after checking into the motel, we headed for some FOOD. DENNY'S! its kinda like the 24hr macs we have in sg? they have denny's everywhere. and they serve slow-food, unlike macs which serves fast-food. okay. lame. hahahah. ignore that.

so here's what we ordered~
their serving's kinda small as compared to perkins tho. but perkins taste better!

we were even able to share a apple crumble for dessert! heh.

DAY 1

so the next morning , we checked out and headed to the airport to board our train towards San Francisco (SF)! :DD
after a 4hours + flight, we finally arrived at SF !
crazy boy wanted to try lugging both luggages. he looked so happy doing it. haha.

went to rent our car and off we go!

first stop was to our motel to put down our stuffs!
really love the landscape in SF .

very interesting advert in a tourist brochure. hmmm~~~
decided to go grab a bit before heading off to chinatown/union square area. and we stopped by a cafe near our motel for yummeh food. looks good? ;P
see that mashed up thingy there? its actually house fries! SUPER YUMMEHHH :O
this is our hotel! niceeee?

i didnt take any pics of the rooms cause it was so small once our luggages were in, there's literally no place to walk alrd. haha.
one pretty pic before we head out for more walk. heh.
aren't their housing pretty? so much better than our hdb :C
i cant rmb the name of this street, but we got here cause i wanted to get my dr martens and this was where google brought me too.

then it was bus to union square (where the shopping paradise is) . cause chinatown was just near union sq, we decided to get off and walk a lil.
their shops are huge-ass. really. see gap? haha.

no prize for guessing - chinatown!

went for dinner at far east cafe , which was reallyyyyyyyy sexpensive. but food was not too bad. but still, 50 bucks for a meal for 2 is kinda =S
we cabbed back after dinner and rested for the night. and why did we cab back? bcos it was too freaking hell cold we couldnt bear walking all the way back to the bus stop and taking a bus back to our hotel. haha. phails i know. but seriously, not funny walking around (12degrees) + wind blowing straight into your face. i felt like my face was falling off my face, literally. haha.

DAY 2
fisherman's wharf day! ^^

two ninjas! heh.
the receptionist from our hotel recommended this cafe for breakfast and we were out to try it that day. apparently they make their coffee cup by cup, from grinding the beans and all? that's the reason why its so good. but you gotta wait a lil while for your coffee. spencer tried it and he said it was really gooodddd. worth the wait ;)

chicken caesar wrap
panini? haha. i cant rmb.
the deco for the cafe's kinda nice. me likes it.
after brunch it was to fisherman's wharf!
it was all public transport for us in sf, even tho we had the car. why? bcos park lots are damn hard to find. hahahaha. we weren't willing to lose our parking lot near our hotel. =S

first stop ! aquarium bay! :D
can't help it. the flowers were blooming so prettily that i find it a waste not taking any pics with it. haha.
it wasnt exactly fantastic ? but it wasnt too bad la. underwater world at sentosa's better tho. =p

STAR- FISH. (literally) hahaha!
after the aquarium, we had some time to kill before we go for the cruise ride, so we just walked around aimlessly, enjoying the scenery. BUTTTTT, i tell you, i was freezing to death. its alrd so cold in the city, and what's more when we're so near the sea isn't it? haha.

ohyes! they actually sell strawberries like that? like ONE strawberry kind? super cool and its SOOOOO GOOD.
we got 4 to share. really really yummy!! :DD

cruise time :

the next few pictures, i took them with my life. seriously. it was bloody cold outside on the deck + the wind. omg. wanna die only.

the golden gate bridge. its kinda like our merlion in sg? so for sf its the golden gate bridge and alcatraz. but damn sad case, we didnt manage to buy the tix for alcatraz cause its always SOLD OUT by the time we get there :C

alcatraz island. we only like cruised by it? :(
and after the war with the cold wind, it was time to fill our tummy again. we decided on cha-pa-lang food. cause we wanted to try seafood at fisherman's wharf. heh.
first stop - clam chowder.
DAMN GOOD . (Y)
seagulls on the road. cute or what?

french sourdough bread. shaped like a turtle. so cutezxzxz. but we still had to eat it up. haha. and on the top left, you actually see a alligator sourdough bread (HUGE ASS) . no idea who actually buys them mann.this small turtle alrd cost like 4.95 usd. imagina the price of the alligator? hahaha.

we also tried this crabmeat thingy. DAMN SHIOKS SIA. its like real crab meat!! minus the digging out the meat from the crab part. haha. for lazy pple.
all the picture looks so nice, i wanna be there again :( boohoo.
ohyea, forgot to mention, very nice but also very cold. brrr...

after walking by the sea, we headed over to some chocolate cafe to get some ice cream (spencer was craving for it) and hot chocolate (cause of the cold weather).

they even have the chocolate making process inside the cafe for showcase to the public. cool uh?
after dessert, it was time for dinner. (okay, i think we got our meal schedule wrong, but its a holiday. forgive us, stomach. ) hahaha. we took a long to decide on which restaurant to walk into cause we dunno where's good and every restaurant's like poaching us like a prey. =S

we finally decided on one with the cheapest menu. hahaha.

spen: where's my food?

seafood salad as appetizer.
dungness crab (Y)
fish w rice?

it was a really fulfilling meal anw, plus the crab was sedap!
after dinner, i went to buy a north face jacket bcos i couldn't tahan the cold any longer. then, it was back to the hotel to rest for the night again.

DAY 3
it's our last day in sf before we leave for L.A !

my shuai ge:

brunch at the same cafe!haha. we're boring like that.

me likes this photo. cute! haha.

it was off to chinatown again bcos we're bored like that. no la. haha. we were suppose to go over to look for the legendary yummy egg tart, but unfortunately, the shop was closed till 11/6 . sads.
BUT, he managed to find a saloon that cuts hair for 5usd, so off he went. for a hair cut.
and i spotted a small cafe down the road from the saloon which serves buffet for 5.99usd. :O so just whack only. so there, we settled lunch/dinner there. haha. very rare to find cheap chinese food in US okay.
honestly, the food was that fantastic, but for 5.99, im a happy girl alrd. hahaha.
went to walk ard a lil more after food.
oh, here's the f21 at union sq. what's 313's f21 compared to this mann? hahaha. i dunno how the staffs survive actually.

went back to the car and then it was to the vista point(viewing pt?) for the golden gate bridge once again.
pretty!! :D
even prettier with 2 of us inside the pic. WAHAHAHA. thick-skin only.
after this, we started our road trip towards L.A (via the PACIFIC OCEAN) ^^

keep a lookout for my next post ;)

(ps:leaving for BKK in 4 hrs? and i haven't even started packing. dies. X.X buaibyezzxz. )
