Langkawi 10`

so! i'm finally back from all my trip(s) for june. i'm partially sad and happy. glad that i'm back in sg where home is but missing all the sun, the sand, the beaches and just recently - shopping. will do another post for my bkk trip when i'm free again! :)
as for now, i'll just do a short update on my getaway with spencer to langkawi.

Day 1:

woke up bright and early on a tuesday morning to head down to T2 to meet spencer to check-in our luggages and then headed off to macs for breakfast before boarding the plane!
ohhhh. and i must mention that my whole holiday(s) have been spent spamming food. hahahaha. after macs breakfast, msia airline served us lunch on the way there. tasted so-so, but at least they had ferrero rocher to save them! haha. love ferrero rocher! ate spencer's share too. heh. oops.

we had to do a transit over at penang airport, as the plane doesnt fly directly to langkawi airport.
after 2 hours, we've finally arrived at our destination! :D

and here's our room! :)) we got the rainforest chalet, explains the forest lookalike setting! and seriously, there were LOTS of monkey outside our chalet, just like in the forest where animals are prevalent. and oh yea, the resort is so huge, to get to your room, you'll needa take the buggy at the lobby! cooliooooo! hee. by the time we settled down, took a short nap and bathed and all, it was close to dinner time alrd. so we decided on pahn-thai restaurant further down from our room for dinner.

the restaurant was on this floating platform thingy but very stable of course. and there were chalets on water!! so cool! but i guess they were more sexpensive too... hahas.



the scenery was SOSOSOSOSOOOO GOOD. but when it got later and later, the sea breeze kinda get a lil too chilly for me. but still... the ambiance was 10/10!! hahas. but the food took longer than usual to be ready. i guess its just not langkawi's culture to be efficient, afterall its a place for people to get away from the buzzing cities. not forgetting to mention, the sun only seems to go down at langkawi ard 8pm. maybe bcos its too close to thailand alrd. hahas. lagging one hour behind.
headed back to the room after which and caught abit of autumn's concerto before we both were knocked out for the night. heh.

Day 2:

a very busy day ahead of us! cause we only planned for a 3D2N trip, the second day had to be best made used of! we booked for the island hopping tour before we left for singapore and the person was suppose to pick us up from out hotel early in the morning. we woke up late and had only half an hour for breakfast which was damn SAD case luhhh. it was buffet breakfast!! with HELL LOADS of yummy goodies !! :C prata/omelette/french toast/ pancakes/ pastry etc etc. we just stuffed whatever we could into our stomach before the service staff came to over table to inform us that the driver was at the lobby waiting for us alrd!??! most stressful breakfast ever.

so we got on the speed boat and headed off to island hop! :D

first stop! dayang bunting!

these monkeys are MONSTERS. they literally just snatch any plastic bag they see pple holding. evil monkeys! there was this lake at the top of dayang bunting, where we climbed up too, and we happen to witness this monkey snatching a lady's handbag causing her to fall into the lake while 'fighting' with the monkey... and her poor bag dropped in too... imagine your phone/passport/impt documents all wet, all thanks to a monkey... poor lady. oh, and she's an Arabian i think. so she was fully wrapped up and drenched. gross much.

second stop was a lil more boring... they just drove us to this ulu island where all the eagle residence at. and that was the eagle feeding session.

last stop! i've no idea where this is, but its a beachhhhhh! with sand and the sun! hee. and altho the water does look blue from my pictures, it isnt. its green still. just clearer than the sg waters. hahas.

after the last stop, we headed back to the hotel to change out to rush to the underwater world! and to save more money on transport, we shared to rent a car, of course with spencer driving, to roam ard langkawi ! :D quite a fun experience even tho there were so many cock-ups. like having no fuel, the driver's seat belt's totally CMI, no airbag, dented rear on both sides of the car and cracked side mirror. impressive how spencer even manage to drive the car sia. hahaha.

anw, we were so busy until we forgot about lunch!! so before heading to the underwater world, we decided to go look for makan makan! found this ulu 'kopitiam' near the underwater world and decided to settle for it. food was cheap and good! yummeh! :)

after underwater world, we headed off to the eagle square where the langkawi's icon was at.

dinner time after that! we headed off for zhi-cha at some night market, which closes so early -.-
on our way back to berjaya!

OHYES. langkawi is a DUTY-FREE ISLAND. hahahaha. so we couldnt help it but bought a few miniatures back to the hotel to drink! heh. with julies biscuit. supperrrr! heh.

Day 3:
more evidence of monstrous monkeys outside our rooms...
breakfast!! we ate a lot more this time round :DD since we had more time and didn't have to rush anymore. i miss buffet breakfast:C

had to return the car before we head off to the airport and here's the crack on the side mirror... didnt have time to take pictures of the other damages. its really epic fail car.

so we reached sg in the evening and went for dinner at popeyes before slacking a lil at starbucks and heading home after the peak period was over.

i'm missing my holidays nowwwwww :C next trip would be to hk with shar in aug! i can't wait alrddddd :DDDDD

(p.s: if you realised, spencer wore the same grey tee for two days straight!!)
