Fabulousome Batam Getaway!

13/7 - 15/7
WOOHOO! so right after my last day on 10/7 (last friday) , i planned for a short trip with wk just before school starts... initial plan was to head to BKK again! but stupid swine flu blew up my plan. so we settled for batam (: not regretting it tho. hahas. cause i really enjoyed this trip. w/o all that rushing/shopping and busy buzzing life, we headed to a small little resort over at batam - Turi Beach Resort. i tell you, the view there was spectacular mann!! and the 3 days there was SHIOK. our lives became like this :

eat - sleep - watch tv - repeat

HAHA. i think both of us put on arog arog of weight during those 3 days.
that was truly life! especially when its the off-peak season for holidays now, there werent many visitors and it felt like we booked the whole resort or smth! even during meal times, especially in the afternoon, there's not a single soul in the restaurants?!?! cool shit. i've never tried eating at a restaurant with no other strangers around. hahas.

anw, we spent day 1 trying to find our perfect room ! changed room THREE times within a day. so we started out with room 331 which was located at the old wing and that explains why the room wasnt as good. for those whom really enjoy the nature , the old wing will be a good choice. but as for me, i very very much preferred the new wing. hahas.
our first room came with a leaking aircon and broken safe deposit box. so we requested for another room. so 338 was our second room. and this time the room smelt REAL bad. so we thought maybe we just leave the aircon running for awhile while we head out to explore the place. but even after we came back, the room still smelt AS BAD :|
thank gosh we went to checked out the rooms at the new wing and the rates before heading back to collect our stuff for another round of change of room.
and finallyyyyyy... to our very very pretty room 206 at the new wing and a superb sea view! happy happy! (:

we enjoyed our stay at the new room thereafter!
i shall leave the rest for the pictures to speak for themselves!!

so this is room 331 , its really not too bad from the picture, but the nets were dirty and the bed sheets were a lil dirty too.

but its not that bad considering that there's even a balcony? BUTBUTBUT, i wouldnt wanna stay out and feed the mossies. hahahaha.
second room! 338 , the interior looks exactly the same as 331.
this is the old wing area, so the houses are all atap house looking ...

pool ONE . as you can see, there's not a single soul at the poolside. hahas. how cool!

our first meal there! i had nasi kuning i think.
and wk had nasi padang? and take note of wk's finger in many of the pictures with food featured.he's obsessed with food.



they have many of this little small huts with 2 matteress in them. quite cool! but we didnt try sitting in it. i worry abt the mossies.... heh.

Oooo... here comes the best part! i thought the senery here was SUPERB!

breakfast on day 2. the buffet spread was kinda sad/pathetic. nothing much. but at least we got fried rice set.

i wanted to try sitting on this thing. but wk didnt allow me to do it. in case it crumbles after i climb onto it HAHA.

aww.... our last meal at turi beach resort. as you can see, the breakfast was still quite pathetic.

we took a cab down to batam centre megamall to do a lil shopping!
hungry us went for lunch first !


and the above meal cost us less than 10 bucks ! hoorayy (:

went to do my mani and pedi there while wk went for a full body massage before we met again to catch ice age 3 at the theatre there! mann!! the movie ticket there was HELL CHEAP!! 15k RUPIAH! which is like 2.20 sgd? mega cheap deal! hahas. and the theatre quality doesnt lose to sg's gv/cathay/shaw house!

after that, we decided to go for our "dinner" at A&W ((:

oh, this was our hotel bill. HAHAHAHA. THREE MILLION RUPIAH.
that explains why wk looks so stress here. those things he was flipping thru? they were all our bills/ receipt. HAHAHA.

this would most prolly be our last trip together ? i hope not. but at least for the next 3 yrs or so. mann... how sad. :\
